- primary computer-controlled processing that maintains high temperatures and oxygen levels to stabilize the compost, eliminate weeds and weed seeds, and enhance beneficial micro-organisms;
- secondary processing that furthers biological stabilization and develops proper moisture and carbon-tonitrogen ratios;
- tertiary processing that provides time for degradation of more refractory organics and re-establishes lower temperature microbial populations which are beneficial in soil amendments.
